Terms of service

What you get, what we ask of you, and what neither of us promises.

Last updated 2026-09-06

The service

Outposts ("the service") is software operated by Hive Asset Group that reads public community threads, drafts replies and posts in your voice, and, with your approval or the autopilot you have earned, publishes them from accounts you own and connected. It also writes a free marketing brief from your website and, on paid plans, runs the agents described on the site.

Your accounts and your content

You post from your own accounts on each network. Outposts never signs in to them and holds no password, token or developer app for any of them. You are responsible for those accounts and for everything you post from them, including drafts the desk wrote. Everything the desk writes for you is yours.

You agree not to use the desk to draft or post anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing or against the rules of the community it is posted to, and not to post from accounts you do not own or are not allowed to use.

What we do not do

The Outposts service never posts, votes, likes, follows or messages on your behalf, never uses accounts it owns or bought, and never publishes anything anywhere. The Mac app can press Post for you only on your own computer, inside your own signed-in browser session, only after you turn that on for a venture, and under the same warming caps; what it posts goes out as your own press would. The full design is on the safety page and forms part of these terms.

The platforms' own rules

Outposts reads the networks through public search and its search partners and writes drafts; you decide what to post and you post it. Each platform has its own terms on self-promotion, they change, and they are yours to follow.

The warming lane, the caps, the 90/10 rule and the community-rule checks reduce the chance of a platform acting against an account. They do not remove it. Platforms restrict and ban accounts for their own reasons, and we cannot promise that yours will not be among them. If that happens, the desk will not attempt to work around it, and the acceptable use policy applies.

Not affiliated

Outposts is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Reddit, X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Y Combinator (Hacker News), Google, Apple or Stripe. Their names and marks belong to them and are used only to say which services the desk works with.

Data security

Account tokens, passwords for app sign-ins, model keys and Stripe secrets are encrypted at rest with a key that lives only in the deployment's environment. The database and the application run on Netlify in the United States. Nothing you connect is used for anything but your own ventures, and disconnecting an account removes its token at once. The privacy page has the full list of what is stored and who processes it.

Platforms

The networks Outposts reads, and you post to, are run by other companies with their own rules, which change. We cannot promise that a platform will never restrict or ban an account; Outposts is built to avoid the mechanical reasons for that and it holds every account to the published lane, but judgement calls belong to the platforms.

Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly per venture through Stripe and renew until cancelled. Prices are shown on the site and can change with notice to the email on your account. The refund policy applies.

Model keys

If you bring your own model key, calls made for your ventures are billed to you by that provider under its terms. The key is stored encrypted and used only for your ventures.

Availability and liability

Outposts is provided as it is, without a warranty of uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop at any time by cancelling and disconnecting your accounts; we can end the service for a breach of these terms, with a refund of any unused period if the breach was not yours.

Changes

We will email the address on your account before a material change to these terms takes effect.
